Unboxing my 3D printer

What was in that mysterious box?

It was my brand new Airwolf3D HD 3D printer!

I first saw the Airwolf3D printers at the 3d printer expo in Burbank in January. There were a lot of printers at the show but I chose the HD because of the 300mm x 200mm x 300mm build volume and the fact it came reassembled and calibrated.

Further details can be found on their website: http://airwolf3d.com/store/products/large-3d-printer-model-aw3d-hd/

Here is my unboxing:

Big box!

The packing is great.

The only thing that needs assembly is the bowden tube. It has been detached for shipping.

Did I mention how great the packing is? Nothing moved during shipping.

The only tricky bit is removing the foam under the build plate. I had to look at the online unboxing video on the Airwolf3D YouTube page. http://youtu.be/Jw6S9JLaPUg

Every printer is tested at Airwolf3D before they ship them to customers. Here is the test print that shipped with my printer.

Bowden tube attached.

My printer in its new home, the garage.

And finally, it is powered on and ready to go. This printer looks awesome when lit up!

I'll be posting more on my 3D printing adventures in future posts.

First Post!

A great way to start my new blog is with what was waiting at my door the other day.

What's in the box?
